Twenty beauties vie Miss Camarines Sur title

Twenty beautiful maidens coming from various towns and 2 cities of Camarines Sur will vie for the prestigious 2005 Miss Camarines Sur title slated on May 25 after final screening conducted last Saturday, May 14 at the much-vaunted Eco Village at the Provincial Capitol Complex, Cadlan, Pili.

The Miss Camarines Sur Beauty Pageant is among the highlights of the annual Foundation Day anniversary celebrations of Camarines Sur observed from May 21 to 27.
Camarines Sur Governor LRay has announced that this year s foundation day celebrations of the province will be more colorful, vibrant, entertaining and exciting.

Prominent television host Marvin Agustin and movie actress, Pauleen Luna are coming to host the Miss Camarines Sur Beauty Pageant on the night of May 25.
The 20 official candidates were chosen from out of 28 aspiring beauties after rigid screening and evaluation conducted last Saturday, May 14 based on the criteria of beauty, poise, personality and intelligence.

The top 20 are: Zarahlyn Esplana, Kharlyn Gayle Caroche, Glorainne Solina, and Halima Lyssa Oida Altaie, all of Iriga City; Jenny Leah Callo and Jaine Santiano Hidalgo of Milaor; Princess Daza Armillos and Ruvejane Rull of Nabua; Glaiza Anne B. Bilas of Baao; Mary France Diaz of Canaman; Joycie A. Nocomura, Karla Mellissa Santos, Jennie D. Narra, Hendry Dee Lorica, Suserain Algura and Ruby Jane Mayao of Naga City; Frances Marie Pentecostes, Jackielou S. Formalejo and Isabel M. Qui ones of Tigaon; and Chyrlyn Cristal Eugenio of San Jose, in Partido District.

A total of P162, 000.00 in cash prizes await winners in Miss Camarines Sur Beauty Pageant broken down as follows: Miss Camarines Sur, P75, 000.00; Miss Kaogma, P30, 000.00; Miss Tourism, P20, 000.00; First Runner-Up P15, 000.00; and Second Runner Up, P10, 000.00. Winners in the Best in Gown, Best in Swimsuit, Miss Friendship and Miss Photogenic will each receive P3, 000.00.

The final judging and coronation of winners in the beauty pageant is scheduled at 7:00 in the evening on May 25 at the specially designed Kaogma stage in front of the Convention Center at the capitol complex. (S. Nieves)
